Testimonials

After fundamental and field research with the Erasmus University Medical Centre Rotterdam, Erasmus MC, The Netherlands, the ergonomic computer mouse by Hippus became commercially available in August 2006.

The publication of the field research was published in June 2006 in the Dutch magazine Tijdschrift voor Bedrijfs- en Verzekeringsgeneeskunde (TBV), a magazine for company and insurance physicians.

Testimonials with respect to the use of the HandShoeMouse

Architect:
I herewith inform you that I am very satisfied with this mouse. It is easy to operate and fits the hand comfortably. Most important, my RSI complaints have diminished a lot.
Although they have not vanished completely yet, my complaints are substantially reduced.

Student:
Working with the HandshoeMouse is great. At first I had to get used to it, but after a little while everything went better. I have had no problems at all.

Employee of a technical university responsible for prevention and ergonomics:
The IT specialist who has a large HandshoeMouse is enthusiastic, his complaints have reduced. I have ordered additional mice as I see good results with the users.

Employee of government organization:
I work much better with this mouse. I already experience relaxation in the lower arm and even in the upper arm as a result of the use of the HandshoeMouse.

Employee of a large building contractor:
Already after one day’s work with this mouse I experienced a less numb feeling in my arm. Before I got the HandshoeMouse I used to experience a strong prickling sensation.

Accountant:
I enjoy working with the HandshoeMouse very much. At first I had to get used to it, but now I cannot do without my new mouse. I have no more pain in my wrist, great!”

Employee of a Dutch Ministry:
I continuously use the HandshoeMouse at work. After I moved to another department the PC work has increased substantially. The serious complaints in my wrists have not returned I am sure that this mouse has contributed to this.

Human resource manager of an international courier service:
I am most satisfied; working with my new computer mouse is a pleasure. The advantage is that I can use the HandshoeMouse without interruption, this was impossible with an ordinary mouse.

Draftsman:
I am very pleased with the HandshoeMouse. It really reduces the complaints and for several days I have been able to work full time again.

Dentist:
It took some time to get used to working with this mouse or rather to stop bad habits i.e. wrong movements. But by now I take the HandshoeMouse with me when I go home for the weekend and I do not forget to bring it back to work on Monday!
I would recommend it to everybody who works a lot with the PC or who experiences excessive muscle loads when using a mouse.

Company doctor with respect to patient who works for a large electronic equipment manufacturer:
Mr. X is enthusiastic, his condition has improved. He can stretch his hand again, while he does no longer experience the tingling feeling in his fingers.

Journalist:
Thank you for your prompt action.
The result of working with the HandshoeMouse is above expectation, complaints have all but vanished and I am working full time again.

Draftsman, CAD specialist:
Thanks for your effort and prompt reaction. As already mentioned and I gladly repeat: over all I am most satisfied with the mouse. I hope that the relaxation it provides will continue.

Draftsman, CAD specialist:
My experience with respect to working with the HandshoeMouse is positive. The difference is evident when I work with an ordinary mouse again at home. Complaints of cold strained hands have diminished substantially. It appears that the effect of an improved blood flow must be assumed as a source, for when I shake my arm it appears to improve.

Employee of a government organization, responsible for prevention and ergonomics:
Mrs. X has been working with the HandshoeMouse for about 10 days now. She is enthusiastic, she is no longer awake at night due to pain and during the day she can work easily without pain.

Member of administrative staff of a university hospital:
I am very satisfied with the HandshoeMouse, complaints in my wrist and shoulder have vanished.
However, it was quite an effort to get used to work with it.

Administration staff member of a large consumer electronics company:
The HandshoeMouse is great. Complaints in hand, wrist and arm diminished soon. After I got used to working with this mouse, which is different, my complaints have disappeared. I am very satisfied.

Designer:
I am very pleased with my new computer mouse.
I will never use another mouse again in view of the reduction of RSI complaints I experience as a result of using the HandshoeMouse.

Civil servant:
Thank you for the prompt service, I shall take care of payment as soon as possible. Today I have been working without complaints for the first time. I will recommend the mouse with my physiotherapist and colleagues.

A couple of days later:
My complaints diminish day by day, the HandshoeMouse works great.

Engineer:
Thank you for the update. After working with the Hippus mouse for one year my neck and arm complaints have reduced significantly.
It is still essential to pay attention and take a break every now and then.

Architect:
The HandshoeMouse works satisfactorily and works best when I rest my entire arm on the table which results in a slightly bent posture.

Website designer:
After having used the HandshoeMouse for some time I must admit that it is great.
An ex colleague of mine also works with it, we both think it a superior product.

Radio journalist:
I now use the Hippus mouse for over a year and I must admit that I am very pleased. In the beginning it was difficult to get used to and I was rather sceptical. However, once you get used to it, it really is a great improvement.
Therefore I like to thank you for this development.

CAD draftsman:
Around 6 month ago I bought the large size Hippus mouse. I am very satisfied with it. Only since a couple of days the scroll wheel switch does not function optimally anymore. I use this switch a lot. Can this problem be solved under warranty.

Hello,
One seldom experiences such a good service, my compliments.
I certainly promote the HandshoeMouse for I am very satisfied with it, no more RSI complaints. It would not have been necessary to change my job, I used to work in the ICT sector.

Physiotherapist:
Dear designer of the HandshoeMouse,
I started using this mouse today, it is an enormous improvement.

My HandshoeMouse was just returned after service. Thank you for the quick response. Although it did not take long, I missed my mouse a lot. After two days working with another mouse, more or less ergonomic, I notice even more the virtues of the HandshoeMouse.

Draftsman:
I start getting used to the HandshoeMouse. It is very different to work with, but I realize the positive effects. It certainly requires less muscle exertion. Positioning the cursor is sometimes difficult, but this is probably a matter experience.

General:

I received the HandShoeMouse!

Thanks, it's a great mouse! very good for comfortable hold.

Thanks
Jaffar

Good morning,

I have a HandShoeMouse for about half a year and I am very happy with it. I just ordered a second mouse, can you please confirm.

Regards,
Eleonore

Hey Paul,

I've really been enjoying the benefits of the mouse for awhile, its dramatically cut down on how much I needed to get dry needling done on my forearms. Which pays for itself anyway.
Cheers,
James (Australia)

To whom it may concern,

Just to let you know, for half a year I have been working with the HandShoeMouse by Hippus. Initially, of course, I had to get used to it. However, now I do not want any other mouse. My right hand stays relaxed, I experience no more cramps and irritation in my forearm. The third mouse button certainly has a significant added value.
I whish you a lot of success with your product!

Edwin (Delft)

Dear Mr. Helder,

Thank you for your e-mail. That sounds rather strange to me, since the delivery-adress was the office address and since we have approx 100 people working here, there should have been someone here during normal opening hours. I am sorry for that. But to say something positive, I am really really happy with the Mouse and its functionality.

Kind regards,

Markus (Norway)

Hi there,

I received my Handshoe Mouse yesterday and thought I should let you know that so far it is fantastic!
It feels (and looks) event better than I expected.

Thanks very much!

Kind Regards,

Michael

Dear Mr. Helder,

Just after I sent my previous mail, the mouse arrived.
It looks like a Stingray. I am very pleased with my HandShoeMouse, it interacts excellent and it immediately feels greet. Ergonomics can also be beautiful.

Hayo

Quote: When I first tried it out, it felt...weird. After all, I was used to arching my hand in a way that placed stress upon my wrist, as a means of keeping my fingers on the clickers. The HandshoeMouse felt like a monstrosity.

After using it a while, though, I began to wish that I didn't have to return my sample. Honestly, guys. When you place your hand on this mouse, you don't need to arch your hand. Rather, your thumb rests within the little thumb indentation while the rest of your fingers lay upon the curve with the clickers (it also includes the rolly-thing, for those of you who were worried about that).

Best of all, the back of the mouse spreads out to include the wrist itself (you can see this in the second shot), which precludes the need for a separate, squooshy wrist rest.

Which I feel is revolutionary, because I don't have a squooshy wrist rest to use in my bedroom, when I'm just on the laptop (and yes I use a mouse with the laptop).
