Introduction
It is a well known fact that neck, shoulders,
arms and hands complaints (NSAH)* frequently occur. Working
with a conventional computer mouse may result in complaints
like tingling, pain and /or obstruction of blood flow to and
from the arms and hands. Another indication of NSAH is a
restricted rotation of the head.

Absence from work due to these complaints as a result of
working with the computer is estimated at around 20% (ref.
Dutch statistics).
Prevent
Gripping and Pinching
The concept of the ergonomic mouse by Hippus is to prevent
excessive gripping and pinching. Contrary to conventional
computer mice you don't have to continuously lift (hover) the
fingers, to prevent accidental switching.

Conventional Mouse
The shape allows for the hand to continuously rest on the
mouse body in a relaxed fashion. As a result relaxation is
realized in hand, arm, shoulders and neck, this again reduces
the risk of NSAH / RSI to a minimum.
This computer mouse, developed by Erasmus MC (Erasmus
University Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands) prevents
and/or reduces the above mentioned complaints to a minimum.
Fundamental as well as field research have shown the positive
effects of working with this special computer mouse.
