Ergonomic
studies
Studies with Erasmus MC have changed the perspective with
respect to the optimal neutral arm and hand position. Contrary
to various views it was concluded that the support area for the
hand should have an angle of around 15 to 30 degrees, which
varies along the contour of the support.
The HandShoeMouse has been designed in this fashion to allow
the hand to rest in such a natural relaxed position. The body
of the mouse fully supports the hand and wrist.
The shape of the
contour prevents gripping and pinching. The virtue of
the design is that one does not have to hold the mouse. The
contour of the body enables a relaxed position of the hand
without it slipping away.

Hand and wrist are fully supported by the mouse, so no skin
contact between hand and desk. Result, no skin irritation due
to excessive rubbing as a result of moving the mouse.
Buttons are positioned in line with the fingers, only minor
pressure is required to switch.
The thumb rest of the HandShoeMouse allows for a relaxed
position and prevents excessive thumb action which can be
harmful.
To maximize the advantages of this mouse and experience
maximum comfort, a correct fit is required. Therefore the hand
has to be measured. Furthermore, specific attention should be
paid to the standard mouse software settings as well as desk
top lay-out and posture. This to get the optimal result of this
extraordinary computer mouse.
